Robert Louis Raymond Duflos (1898-1929) was a French painter known for his figure paintings and nudes. Born in Rouen in 1898, Duflos' work primarily consisted of pastels and watercolors depicting female nudes, though he also created still lifes and landscapes. His oil paintings were less common.
Duflos' artistic career was relatively short-lived, spanning from the late 1910s to the early 1920s. He was particularly active in the Montmartre and Montparnasse districts of Paris, where he exhibited his work and interacted with other artists of the time.
While Duflos' work is not as widely recognized as some of his contemporaries, his paintings offer a glimpse into the artistic trends and styles of the early 20th century. His focus on the female nude, a common theme in art history, showcases his technical skill and artistic vision.
Unfortunately, Duflos' life was cut short in 1929 at the young age of 31. Despite his relatively brief career, his contributions to the world of art continue to be appreciated and studied by art enthusiasts and historians alike.
